Who should attend? This course is for all new elementary teachers, administrators, and paraeducators. In addition, any continuing teachers or paraeducators who have not previously taken RC I should plan on taking it now, or any teachers or paraeducators who would like to review their practice and deepen their understanding of the basics of Responsive Classroom.

Technology for Learning Workshop |

Elizabeth McCarthy is offering a Technology for Learning Workshop on June 23 & 24, 8:30- 3:30 at U-32 Middle & High School. This course will have follow-up in the fall. This course is for all educators: teachers, paraeducators, et al at Washington Central Supervisory Union, grades K-12.

WCSU is sponsoring a Literacy Course targeted primarily to Pre-K to Grade 6 teachers, although any U-32 teacher who wishes to attend may as well. This will be a 3 credit UVM Contract Course taught by Marge Lipson, Lindy Johnson, and Jennifer Miller-Arsenault. The course will run August 12, 13 & 16, 17 as well as one day in October TBD by the group.

On August 16, 17, and 18th WCSU, Barre SU, and Orange North SU will hold a math curriculum summit. The purpose of the summit is to begin work on a Pre-K-12 curriculum document for the three supervisory unions. Beth Hulbert will facilitate this work. The August work will focus on identifying the big ideas in mathematics that we want children to develop each year.
